Awarapan 2
Awarapan 2 carries a difficult kind of expectation: it is following a 2007 film that became more beloved over time because of its bruised mood, soulful music and Emraan Hashmi’s performance as Shivam Pandit. This sequel does not try to erase that memory. It brings Shivam back to Bangkok, a city that immediately restores the neon-lit loneliness and criminal-world scale associated with the first film, then gives him a fresh conflict rooted in violence, trafficking and the pull of a life he never fully escaped. The result is a film that understands why audiences wanted Shivam back, even if it does not always find a new story of equal emotional force.
