GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar help carry a trapped-in-an-apartment supernatural thriller that avoids some routine jump-scare habits. Its fantasy angle adds novelty, though the execution remains uneven and the mythology never becomes as compelling as the setup.

Immortal starts with a clean, claustrophobic hook: a seemingly ordinary apartment becomes a trap, and the threat is more fantastical than the usual haunted-house setup. That difference gives the film a brief sense of unpredictability.

GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar provide the movie with much of its momentum, and the film is often more effective when it concentrates on seduction, entrapment and escape rather than trying to over-explain its supernatural mythology.

The result works in patches rather than as a fully satisfying whole. There are flashes of atmosphere and invention, but the tension and world-building are too inconsistent to make the film linger.

Verdict: A contained fantasy-horror experiment that has a few intriguing ideas but struggles to sustain tension.
