Ramayana: cast, official trailer, release date and what the first film covers

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is heading for a Diwali theatrical release with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash leading the announced cast.

Everything verified so far about Ramayana, kept clear, spoiler-free and easy to save for later.

Ramayana is scheduled to reach cinemas on 6 November 2026, timed for the Diwali period. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is the first film in a planned large-format adaptation of the Indian epic, with a global theatrical release being positioned by the producers.

Ranbir Kapoor plays Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita and Yash is cast as Ravana. Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey and a wider ensemble are also part of the announced line-up. The project has drawn attention for its scale and for the team’s focus on a theatrical visual-effects experience.

The first official trailer has been released. The story details remain deliberately limited, so Raaga Recommends is keeping its coverage spoiler-free: the title page links the trailer, confirmed cast and release information, while this news page will be updated when the makers share further official material.
